MANILA – Markus Paterson doesn’t seem bothered about the onscreen partnership of Janella Salvador and Joshua Garcia.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News on Thursday, the Filipino-British actor said he and Salvador are “good” and the actress being on a love team is not an issue for him.

“I don’t really need to talk to anyone about it,” he said. “It’s cool. They’re gonna have a long beautiful career together, I wish them the best.”

Paterson said he and Garcia are also okay although they have yet to see each other again.

“I don’t see why we wouldn’t be. We haven’t talked yet. I haven’t seen him yet,” he said.

But when categorically asked if he and Salvador are in a relationship, he teased: “I like it when it’s not straight so let’s not set things straight muna.”

Paterson said he does not want to work with Salvador in any project because he wants to keep his personal and professional life completely separate.

“I like to keep my personal life and my work life far from each other. I wouldn’t mind working with her maybe sometime in the future but now, she needs to focus on Joshua for now,” he said.

On Thursday, Paterson was launched as one of the newest stars of Rise Artists Studio, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN Films.
