MANILA -- "Throw it away, forget yesterday, we'll make the great escape."

If you sang those lyrics then you've probably already heard that pop-punk band Boys Like Girls will be coming to Manila to perform their greatest hits, an announcement made, fittingly enough, on a Thursday, adding a little throwback spirit to go with it.

"Manila. It's been a long while since we've had our eardrums burst from your screaming," they wrote on Twitter.

The group, known for songs such as "The Great Escape," "Thunder," and "Hero/Heroine," will stop by the country for a one-night-only show at New Frontier Theater in Cubao on April 16.

It's part of their current nostalgia-laden tour where they perform the entirety of their mid-2000s self-titled album, which sold more than 700,000 copies, plus some of their other fan favorites.

The concert is from the same organizers who brought to the Philippines similarly memory-lane staples Blue, Vertical Horizon, and Stephen Speaks, as well as boy groups A1 and O-Town.

Ticket prices, available via Ticketnet starting on Monday, range from P2,600 to P4,000.
