MANILA -- Welsh singer-songwriter Novo Amor has cancelled his appearance in this year's Wanderland music festival as fears around the coronavirus outbreak in China continue to swell.

Novo Amor, whose hits include "Anchor" and "Birthplace," had been scheduled to perform across China mid-March, shortly after plans for a brief segue in Manila for Wanderland 2020.

But concerns over the illness, which has killed 490 and infected more than 24,000 people in China, has prompted a tour date shuffle that sadly meant the cancellation of his Manila stop.

Novo Amor's website shows that he has moved his China dates, as well as his performances in Singapore, to July and August.

Novo Amor's announcement came just after Netflix Philippines said that the stars of their hit movie, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," will no longer be coming to the country for a Valentine's Day event, over similar worries with the coronavirus.

As of Wednesday, three people have tested positive for the virus in the Philippines. One of those patients had died, marking the first novel coronavirus-related fatality outside China.
