MANILA – Xian Lim’s move from Star Magic to Viva came as a surprise to many, including his rumored girlfriend, actress Kim Chiu.

“Nagulat ako in a way. But, of course, I’m happy if he’s happy with his decision. Alam niya naman na susuportahan ko siya every step of the way,” Chiu told ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe.

The actress, however, clarified that Lim confided to her prior to making the big decision.

“Isa ako sa mga tinanong niya. Sa dami naman ng pinagtanungan niya, napagsama-sama niya siguro,” Chiu said.

Although Chiu is mum as to how their conversation went, the actress said she doesn’t really meddle with Lim’s career decisions.

When directly asked if she tried to stop him from transferring to Viva, Chiu said: “Grabe kayo. Ako hindi naman ako nakikialam when it comes to work. Kung ano 'yung decision niya, hands off kami sa isa’t isa kapag work.”

Does this mean they will have less projects together?

“Hindi naman kasi same network naman kami. Iba lang ng management pero it’s just the same… Hindi naman siguro kasi kahit naman magka-camp kami, iba pa rin ang pina-partner sa amin,” she said.

What’s important, Chiu said, is that Lim is content and happy with his decision.
