MANILA -- Good news for the fans of actor Richard Yap.

In an interview at the sidelines of the press conference for his joint album with Richard Poon, Yap announced that he is set to do a new series with ABS-CBN's Star Creatives.

"We are working on a project now. We will start taping maybe March but I can't divulge the story or who am I working with this time," Yap said. "I think we just have to wait for an announcement from them."

Yap, who last starred in 2014 daytime series "Be Careful With My Heart" with Jodi Sta. Maria, admitted he missed doing teleseryes.

"Medyo matagal na din na I'd been busy doing other things. We did a movie last year pero iba pa din 'yung may teleserye ka. So we are looking forward to going back to the grind," Yap said.

After Be Careful With My Heart," Yap had guest stints in various shows including "Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita," "Ang Probinsyano" and "My Super D."

It was also announced that he was set to do "Someone To Watch Over Me" with actress Judy Ann Santos but that project was shelved after the actress got pregnant in 2015.

"I think, Judy Ann she's happy, she's busy with her baby. So it might take a while for her to comeback on TV, I think. So far there are no plans to go on with the project. That's what I've heard from the management," Yap said.

Asked if he is still open to do a project with Santos, Yap said: "It depends kung maganda 'yung story na ibibigay. The story that was pitched to us last time ay maganda. So if ganoon pa din why not? Siyempre si Judy Ann 'yan. Who am I para tumanggi sa kanya?"

Currently, Yap is busy promoting his album "Richard x Richard: The Chinito Crooners" with Poon under Star Music, which is a follow up of sorts to their concert last year with the same title.

Yap and Poon are also set to do series of mall shows to promote the album.
