MANILA — Ara Mina finally returns to Star Cinema, 18 years after "Alyas Pogi: Ang Pagbabalik," where she played Bong Revilla's leading lady.

She currently plays Mommy Dolly, Liza Soberano's doting mom in "My Ex and Whys."

The 37-year-old actress, who starred in various sexy movies in the '90s, said she did not hesitate to play a movie mother to one of the prettiest young actresses in local showbiz.

"Noong in-offer sa akin na maging mom ni Liza, hindi ako nagdalawang-isip," Ara Mina said during the media launch of "My Ex and Whys" on Wednesday.

For her, it's actually refreshing to work with young actors, especially Soberano and Enrique Gil.

"They're the nicest. Marami na akong nakatrabaho pero isa sila sa mga paborito ko," she added.

Ara Mina said she also enjoyed working with veteran filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina, whom she considers as one of the best directors today.

"It's my dream to work with her since 'One More Chance,' " she said.

When asked about her love life, Ara Mina said she is currently single but happy.

Early last year, she revealed that she already broke up with politician Patrick Meneses, with whom she has a 3-year-old daughter.
