MANILA — (UPDATED) Maris Racal and Sue Ramirez denounced on Tuesday a circulating photo of them together, edited to make both actresses appear naked.

“There’s an edited photo of Sue and I spreading online,” Racal wrote on Twitter.

Ramirez, meanwhile, re-posted the original photo, which she first uploaded in August 2019. It shows her and Racal sporting a bikini while apparently sunbathing during a resort trip.

Umayos kayo.”

“At 'wag tanga pls.

In a subsequent post, Ramirez uploaded the edited photo, this time asking her followers to help her track the perpetrator behind its spread online.

“Nakakadiri ka. Sa lahat ng nagshare neto at sa demonyo sa lupa na gumawa at nag edit ng kababuyan na to, nakakatawa ba to para sainyo?!” she said.

Addressing her 8.1 million followers on Instagram: “Nakikiusap ako sa inyo. Kulturang mapanira. Kulturang kasuklam-suklam.”

“This can happen to anyone. Sa nakakaalam kung san nagsimula ito, pls contact me through DM. Help me get to the bottom of this.

Abusado kayo.”

In a statement, ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, the talent agency handling both Ramirez and Racal, said it intends to pursue legal action against those who continue to spread the edited image.
