MANILA -- To say Marion Aunor is elated is an understatement after the Filipino singer got invited again to attend this year’s Grammy Awards.

On Instagram, Aunor posted a photo of her invitation to the prestigious event which will be held in Los Angeles in the United States in February.

“Got my invite to the GRAMMYs and will definitely be attending the ceremony on February 10,” she wrote. “Was supposed to go last year but got sick.”

Aunor said she is “grateful and blessed” to be given a chance to go as a member of the Recording Academy.

Aunor, who is the niece of veteran actress Nora Aunor, rose to fame after winning second runner-up in the songwriting competition Himig Handog P-Pop Love Song for her composition “If You Ever Changed Your Mind.”

She initially signed with ABS-CBN’s Star Records, which released her debut album.
