MANILA – Kapamilya stars Desiree del Valle and Boom Labrusca have tied the knot in a scenic ceremony in the United States.
The couple shared a photo of the intimate affair on Instagram, captioning it, “Road to Forever, 1 14 18,” referring to their wedding date of January 14. It shows them holding hands during the ceremony, which overlooks a lake.
The location tag of their respective posts indicate South Lake Tahoe, a resort city in California.
It had been a long engagement for del Valle and Labrusca, who first confirmed they were set to wed back in July 2015. At the time, they had already been together for three years.
More than a year later in December 2016, Labrusca surprised del Valle with another wedding proposal, this time in front of their respective mothers, who were both in the US then.
Del Valle, 35, has been in show business for two decades. She is best known for her role in “Tabing Ilog,” which ran for four years until 2003. Her most recent regular role was in the ABS-CBN primetime series “The Promise of Forever” in 2017.
Labrusca, 43, started showbiz via “That’s Entertainment” in 1986, and went on to co-star with del Valle in a number of shows, including “Flordeliza” (2015) and “La Luna Sangre” (2017). He has a son, neophyte actor Tony Labrusca, from a previous relationship.
