They wanted to prove that all-female groups can be more than just eye candy.
And while members of SB New Gen succeeded in showing that they have the talent for dance, their moves weren't good enough, unfortunately, for the next round of "World of Dance Philippines" on Saturday.
SB New Gen, formed in an attempt to continue the legacy of the popular Sexbomb dance group, was one of the first contestants of the new show.
They put on an entertaining number, but it was littered with a few mistakes, the judges pointed out.
In the end, the group got an average score of 77.7, short of the required 80 needed to move on to the next round.
The timing of their appearance came just days after the original Sexbomb dancers announced they will be holding auditions for new members.
"World of Dance Philippines" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
