The Light Rail Manila Corporation has covered a part of its signage as it featured a mistake on UP Manila's name.

Another wrong signage in one of Light Rail Transit's (LRT) stations went viral Wednesday after netizens spotted it as missing the word "the" in the "University of Philippines Manila."

The signage was seen at LRT-1's Pedro Gil Station.

Some netizens poked fun at the issue and said LRT's spelling mishaps are "getting out of hand" while others suggested that the management of LRT should have just put "UP Manila" on the signage.

This comes after a sign was earlier spotted having misspelled the word "investigation" and spelled it as "National Bureau of Investagation."

Meanwhile, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has issued a statement on the matter and thanked "eagle eyes" for spotting the mistake.

"Eagle eyes alert! Don't worry, our team is already working on it. Thanks for helping us shine a light on the situation. Ingat po sa biyahe," LRMC said.

As of Thursday (March 21, 2024), the sign at Pedro Gil has been covered with black tape.

LRMC is the private operator and maintenance provider of LRT-1.
