Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Rivera, 76, said he just ignores criticism that he is a nuisance bet. "Hindi ako nawawalan ng gana (I don't lose enthusiasm)," he said.

"Sa loob ng 1998 up to now, para akong nag-aral ng abogado sapagkat nagsisikap ako na di bale na ako'y mahirap, di bale ako'y di mataas ang pinag-aralan, high school graduate lang, pero once you give discipline..." he added.
