LA UNION--Seventeen students in La Union province have been allegedly possessed by an "evil spirit" since Monday.

One Grade 9 student repeatedly said: “'Yung kapatid ko! Namatay! 'Yung kapatid ko! Maibabalik niyo ba yung buhay ng kapatid ko? Hindi! Hindi niyo maibabalik! Tinatawag namin kayo lagi, hindi kayo pumupunta!"

The student said she remembered seeing the bloody vision coming to her before she passed out. It took two hours before she calmed down.

Per local tradition, teachers covered the faces of the affected students with black cloth to drive out the alleged "evil spirit".
