Cebu Pacific resumes direct flights to Kaohsiung in Taiwan

MANILA — Cebu Pacific has resumed direct flights to Kaohsiung in Taiwan, with the carrier mounting three flights a week to the southern city that is Taiwan’s largest industrial center.


The first Manila-Kaohsiung flight of the relaunch left Manila on Friday.


“The relaunch of this route is more than just the restoration of a connection between two vibrant cities. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to bringing people together, fostering closer ties, and promoting mutual growth and development,” CEB Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Michael Ivan Shau said at the launch on Friday.



“I am very happy that Cebu Pacific is expanding its operations," Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said.

“We have the same objective of providing comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable, and affordable travel experience to the riding public,” he also said.


According to Taiwan's tourism as its maritime capital, and is home to popular tourism sites like the Love River, Shoushan (Mount Shou), Sizihwan Bay, Lotus Pond, Qijin, and the Old City of Zuoying.


Cebu Pacific said that, from August 16 to 25, travelers may book Manila-Kaohsiung flights at a one-way base fare of P1,288 for travel between August 16 and January 31, 2025.
