The project is seen to be a collaborative effort involving the US, Sweden, and the Asian Development Bank, according to Batan.

He said that the Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas Railway will link Subic Port with Clark International Airport, the Port of Manila, and the Port of Batangas.

Previous plans for a Subic-Clark Railway did not move forward due to funding challenges, which led the DOTr to extend the project to include Manila and Batangas, said Batan.
