MANILA -  Cebu Pacific said on Monday that it is offering flights to Osaka, Japan, for as low as P1 one-way base fare.

The Osaka promo fare is on offer until July 31, but does not include other fees and surcharges.

The budget carrier said the travel period for the promo fare will be from Oct. 15 this year to March 31, 2025.

Aside from this, the Gokongwei-led airline said it is also offering P188 one-way base fare for local destinations in Visayas and Mindanao.

The VisMin promo fare, which also does not include other fees and surcharges, is on offer until July 26, with a travel period from Aug 15 to Jan 31, 2025.

Meanwhile Cebu Pacific confirmed that it is in talks with Ayala Land Inc for the possible acquisition of its boutique airline AirSWIFT.

The Philippines’ largest airline however also clarified that “nothing definitive has been agreed upon”.

Cebu Pacific recently announced that it recently sealed the largest deal in Philippine aviation history with a P1.4 trillion purchase of 152 Airbus planes.

The company also reversed a P14 billion loss in 2022 to make P7.9 billion in net income in 2023, on the back of stronger demand for air travel.
