MANILA — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines on Wednesday afternoon lifted the yellow alert status it had raised for the Luzon grid.
The NGCP earlier in the day said the Luzon grid would be under the yellow alert as several power plants were still on forced outage or derated capacities.
The grid operator had said it would place the grid on yellow alert from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
But as of 1 p.m., the yellow alert was lifted by the NGCP, citing the decrease in predicted demand.
The Visayas and Mindanao grids are under normal conditions, the NGCP said earlier in the day.
