MANILA -- Cebu Pacific is holding a piso sale on its first few flights to Kaohsiung in Taiwan.

From May 30 to June 13, passengers may book flights to Kaohsiung for as low as P1 one-way base fare.

Cebu Pacific is flying to Kaohsiung starting August 16. The flights will be three times a week--on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Those who book seats during the sale period can fly anytime from August 16 to October 25.

Kaohsiung is southern Taiwan's largest city. It is Cebu Pacific's second destination in Taiwan--the first being Taipei, its capital and economic center.

The budget carrier said tourists can explore Kaohsiung's Love River and explore their harbor-side parks, visit their Museum of Fine Arts, or immerse themselves in Hakka culture in Meinong. 

"The city is a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers with an appreciation for different cultures and unique artifacts," the low-cost airline said in a statement.
