MANILA — Meneleo J. Carlos Jr., a well-known businessman who led Resins Inc., a chemical conglomerate in the Philippines, died peacefully on Friday, his family announced Sunday. He was 95.

Carlos was actively involved in national business groups like the Federation of Philippine Industries, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Bishops-Businessmen’s Conference for Human Development.

He became president of Resins Inc. in 1980, succeeding his father-founder Meneleo Carlos Sr., and expanded its business.

Carlos also represented the business sector in various government bodies and was recognized for his contributions to projects like the "ro-ro" (roll on, roll off) system and promoting the wood industry for climate change solutions.

His wake will be held at the Queen of Angels Chapel, Riverbanks Center, Barangka in Marikina City, from Sunday to Tuesday, with the interment happening Wednesday morning.
