MANILA — The Space Exploration and Research Agency (SERA) is launching a human space flight program to make space more accessible for ordinary people.

SERA has reserved 6 seats for partner nations, and the Philippines could be awarded one "if enough people preregister for the program," said SERA co-founder Sam Hutchison.

Hutchison said Filipinos aged 18 and above could apply to be an astronaut, and the public would decide who would get the slot.
