MANILA -- As the Philippine National Railways (PNR) suspends the operations of its Metro Commuter Line on Thursday, March 28, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) assured thousands of affected passengers that they will be provided with alternative modes of transportation.

DOTr Undersecretary for Rails Jeremy Regino said displaced PNR employees will also be prioritized when they apply for jobs in any of the agency’s ongoing projects such as the North South Commuter Railway (NSCR) and the Metro Manila Subway.
