Jekki Pascual, ABS-CBN News MANILA — Transport company UBE Express is offering a 50 percent discount for overseas Filipino workers (OFW) for trips going to or coming from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
MANILA — Transport company UBE Express is offering a 50 percent discount for overseas Filipino workers (OFW) for trips going to or coming from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
UBE Express president Garrie David said this is their way of thanking OFWs who continue to help the Philippine economy with their remittances back to their families.

OFWs can register online at the website of UBE Express, but walk-in passengers are also welcome.

Only OFWs registered with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) can avail of the promotion. ID is required to be shown to the bus staff.

David added that this is also a solution to help passengers amid transport problems and scams at NAIA. He recalled that recently a taxi charged a passenger thousands of pesos.

“Yung mga nagbibigay ng sakit ng ulo at sama ng loob sa ating mga OFWs, sinasabi ko sa inyo, ipagpatuloy niyo yan, kayo ang bibigyan namin ng sakit ng ulo at sama ng loob sa kakasingil niyo ng mahal sa mga OFWs,” Ignacio said.
