MANILA — Philippine National Bank (PNB) said its net income reached P15.1 billion in the first nine months of 2024, up 12 percent from the numbers in the same period last year.

The bank said this is because of robust growth in net interest income, which climbed 10 percent to P36.5 billion. PNB said net interest income is now 83 percent of their total operating income.

The lender said net interest income grew because of expanding loans to customers, investments, other liquid placements, and improvement in yields.

The bank said total consolidated assets stood at P1.2 trillion, up 2 percent from last year's numbers, because of an increase in loans and treasury assets.
