PANGLAO ISLAND -- Floor-to-ceiling glass windows and a wave-shaped ceiling outfitted with solar panels welcome visitors to the country's newest airport here, which opened Tuesday.
The 13,337-square meter gateway to Bohol province's Chocolate Hills, white sand beaches and tarsier sanctuaries is also a showcase in sustainability.
AirAsia and Cebu Pacific have announced plans to operate from the New Bohol Airport which was built with the help of Japan and will be operated by Aboitiz Infra Capital.
