MANILA—CDO Foodsphere Inc. on Thursday night announced the passing of its chairman and co-founder, Jose "Pepe" Ong. He was 78 years old.

In a statement released by Ong's eldest son, Jerome, he said their father died Thursday morning.

Ong's wake will be at Heritage Park Chapel from Friday to Monday, Nov. 15 to Nov. 18.
