MANILA - (UPDATE) The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on Friday set a new Dec. 29, 2017 deadline for the public to exchange old bank notes that have been demonitized.

MANILA -- Cebu Pacific flew 2.6 million passengers in January, up 33.4 percent from the numbers seen in January 2024, the budget carrier said in a statement.

The airline noted that domestic passenger traffic grew by 34.6 percent from last year's numbers, because of strong holiday demand.

International flights, meanwhile, climbed by 29.9 percent as seats grew by 17 percent. The low-cost airline said its international network rose to 40 routes from 36 in 2023. There were 648 weekly flights, up 16 percent from 561 weekly flights same period the prior year.
