MANILA -- Robinsons Land Corp on Thursday inaugurated its first township, which includes a bridge that connects Quezon and Pasig cities.

The 200-meter bridge that crosses the Marikina River is envisioned to help ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila's eastern portion. It is part of the 30.6-hectare Robinsons Bridgetowne.

"We will open the bridge to the public so that the public can benefit from the infrastructure. The bridge is open to the public to help alleviate traffic especially those coming from the east," said Robinsons Land president and CEO Frederick Go.

Bridgetown features residential condominiums, office buildings, shopping centers and a 5-star hotel. It will also feature a one-hectare park, a school, a hospital and a transport terminal.
