MANILA (3rd UPDATE)—Several flights to and from Hong Kong were canceled Wednesday, August 14 as pro-democracy protests continue within the airport vicinity.

Affected flights from and to the Philippines as of 1 p.m. Wednesday:

PHILIPPINE AIRLINES

  • PR 306 - Manila to Hong Kong
  • PR 307 - Hong Kong to Manila

The flag carrier said it would provide the following replacement flights:

  • PR 5306 - Manila to Hong Kong ETD 9:30 p.m. Wednesday
  • PR 5307- Hong Kong to Manila ETD 1:15 a.m. Thursday

The following flights were re-timed:

  • PR 310- Manila to Hong Kong: new ETD 10 p.m. Tuesday from the original ETD 7 p.m. Tuesday
  • PR 311 - Hong Kong to Manila: new ETD 1:25 a.m. Thursday from the original ETD 10:25 p.m. Wednesday

CEBU PACIFIC

  • 5J 114 - Manila to Hong Kong
  • 5J 115 - Hong Kong to Manila

CATHAY PACIFIC

  • CX913 - Hong Kong to Manila
  • CX934 - Manila to Hong Kong
  • CX935 - Hong Kong to Manila

Hundreds of flights to and from Hong Kong were canceled Tuesday even though its airport resumed operations in the morning following anti-government protests.

Thousands of protesters, angry with the government's refusal to fully withdraw a now-suspended extradition bill and police violence during protests, swarmed the airport.—With a report from Kyodo News
