MANILA – ABS-CBN Corp.’s radio stations DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 (AM) and 101.9 MOR (FM) captured the biggest radio audience in their respective frequencies in Mega Manila in the second quarter of 2018, according to the latest survey of Kantar Media.
Among AM stations, ABS-CBN's DZMM got an audience share of 24.66 percent, 2.5 points ahead of its closest rival, Super Radyo DZBB with 22.13 percent, based on a June 12 to 18 survey of 590 households in Mega Manila by Kantar Media.
Among FM stations, ABS-CBN's My Only Radio (MOR) 101.9 captured 24.08 percent of audience share, followed by 90.7 Love Radio with 21.65 percent, and 97.1 Barangay LS with 17.61 percent.
In Mega Manila, radio has an average weekly reach of 83% representing 16.8 million people.
They listen an average of 2.4 hours a day or 17 hours total listening per week.
A big majority of radio listeners are from the D and E socio-economic classes (82%), while only 5% from the AB and 13% from C listen to radio in Mega Manila.
Majority of radio listeners are above 30 years old, accounting for 61% of the audience.
Most radio listeners in Mega Manila are male, making up 55% of the market; 45% are females.
Of those who listen to the radio, the peak period is from dusk until around noon, after which it declines and then rises again at around 9 pm, after which it drops again after 11 pm.

The Lopez-led ABS-CBN also sustained its top TV network status after bagging 44 percent audience share in July, data from Kantar Media showed.
