MANILA - Chinese smartphone brand Oppo unveiled its latest flagship handset in Paris, France on Wednesday that may have just solved the "notch" problem that has plagued other brands trying to remove bezels from their screens.

The Oppo Find X features an edge-to-edge display and a camera that slides out when you need it.

Tapping the Find X's camera app will cause the phone's camera tray to pop up, revealing a 25-megapixel selfie camera and a dual 16MP and 20MP rear camera.

Because it has ditched the notch, the Find X has achieved the highest screen-to-body ratio of any phone today, Oppo said.

"It's a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio," said Eason De Guzman, public relations manager of Oppo Philippines.

The Find X will go on sale in Europe in August for 999 euros.
