MANILA - The Social Security System said Monday it further extended the deadline for contribution payments to June 30, as members reeled from the coronavirus pandemic.

The reprieve covers payments of regular employers for February, March and April as well as household employers and self-employed, voluntary, non-working spouse members for the first quarter of 2020, it said in a statement.

Collection of contribution payments were delayed for a few months after the government placed Luzon island and Metro Manila under quarantine from mid-March to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
