MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land Corp. is partnering with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to launch Westin's first mixed-use hotel and residences development in Southeast Asia.
Starwood Hotels said its first mixed-use development under the Westin brand would be The Westin Manila Sonata Place and The Residences at The Westin Manila Sonata Place in Ortigas.
The two Westin-branded projects are expected to open in 2019. This is in addition to The Westin Manila Bayshore and Sheraton Manila Hotel which are scheduled to open in 2018 and 2017.
"We are thrilled to partner with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, marking our entry into the upper-upscale hotel segment with the globally-renowned Westin brand. Equally exciting is that we are taking the collaboration one step further by launching the first Westin-branded residences in South East Asia," Frederick Go, RLC President and COO, said in a statement.
The Westin Manila Sonata Place, which will have 300 guestrooms, is located along San Miguel Avenue in Ortigas. At the same time, The Residences at The Westin Manila Sonata Place will have 350 private residential apartments.
