MANILA - The Ayala Group of Companies and the Armed Forces of the Philippines opened on Thursday the COVID-19 quarantine facility at the World Trade Center.

AFP Vice Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Gaudencio Collado Jr led a simple ceremony of the facility that will serve overseas Filipino workers requiring a 14-day quarantine upon arrival.

The 500-bed facility will be managed by 18 military doctors, 30 nurses, and 60 medical aides from the AFP. The AFP said it will also provide security and administrative personnel to help manage the facility.

The conversion of the premier event venue was done through a partnership between the national government, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, and the Ayala Group.
