MANILA - Several dams in Central Luzon were damaged by Monday's strong earthquake, the National Irrigation Administration said on Tuesday. Most of the dams in the Region 3 were safe, but 5 facilities in 3 provinces were damaged and needed immediate repairs, NIA said. The Cong. Repairs to the dam will cost P5 million. In Zambales, NIA also reported cracks on a portion of the Bucao Intake facility in the town of Bucao. Cracks were also noted on the retaining walls of a diversion dam in Brgy. San Pablo in the town of Castillejos. Repairs to the 2 facilities will cost P15 million, NIA said.
