MANILA - Integrated resort Okada Manila has partnered with ABS-CBN's Lingkod Kapamilya for its corporate social responsibility projects, officials said Wednesday.
Under the partnership, Okada Manila and ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya will hold medical and dental missions, and feeding programs for at least 2,700 individuals this year.
Scholarship grants and possible training for hospitality students are also being considered, Susan Bautista-Afan, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Managing Director, said.
"Okada Manila's presence in the Philippines isn't just driven by its business goals... It is built with a vision of contributing to both the economic and sustainable development of the Philippines," Takahiro Usui, Okada Manila chief operating officer, said.
"We needed a partner who not only built a strong credibility for their organization but also shares the same passion and goals with us," he added.
Okada Manila will also help mount Bantay Bata's 20th anniversary fashion show for a cause on August 12 by Rocky Gathercole who designs for US pop singer Lady Gaga.
Lingkod Kapamilya is the outreach arm of ABS-CBN Corp, the country's largest media and entertainment network. Its projects include Bantay Bata 163, Operation Sagip and Bantay Kalikasan.
Okada Manila, owned by Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada, is the newest attraction on Entertainment City, a casino resort complex on Manila Bay that is billed as the Philippines' answer to Las Vegas.
