MANILA - San Miguel Corp said Tuesday it was building 10 emergency quarantine facilities near military hospitals to house personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 and to help ease congestion in health facilities.

Each facility will have 15 beds and will be built beside NOLCOM Hospital in Tarlac, SOLCOM Hospital in Lucena City, Eastmincom Hospital in Davao City, CENTCOM Hospital in Cebu City, Westmincom Hospital in Zamboanga City, Veterans Memorial Center, Villamor Airbase Hospital in Pasay City, Naval Air Group in Cavite City and WESCOM Hospital in Palawan, San Miguel said in a statement.

“This is one way we can help our hospitals efficiently attend to COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms as well those suffering from other life-threatening conditions,” San Miguel President and COO Ramon Ang said.

San Miguel is also eyeing areas to build prototype hospital facilities to be used as emergency rooms.
