MANILA - Payment periods for PLDT bills will be "stretched" while disconnection for overdue accounts will be suspended until the end of the Luzon lockdown on April 30, the telco said Tuesday.

The extension covers all postpaid customers of PLDT Home and mobile arm Smart Communications, the company said in an advisory.

The Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, the country's COVID-19 response law, ordered lenders to extend grace periods for loans due during the enhanced community quarantine. Utility distributors have also extended grace periods for water, electricity and telco bills.
