MANILA - As parts of Metro Manila and Rizal province continue to face a water crisis, ride-hailing and food delivery platform Grab is letting users book a vehicle to have water delivered to their homes or businesses.
The company announced on Wednesday a service called Grab IGIB water delivery service, which will be available in Marikina.
Grab said that to get water delivered, users just need to book a car, enter the Marikina Grab Igib Water Hub as Pickup Point and the user's location as Drop-off.
Another way is for users to look for Grab IGIB in the Grab App feed, click on IGIB Today, and enter the user's location as Drop-off.
Grab said the service is free of charge.
Only 1 container is allowed per booking, and customers have the option to buy the container for P100.
The company warned users though that the delivered water is not potable and therefore not safe for drinking.
The service will be available from 4-9 p.m. from March 27-29, or until supplies last.
Grab said the service is available only in the following barangays: Escopa III, Escopa IV, Industrial Valley, Jesus de La Pena, Tanong
Santo Nino, Concepcion Dos, Nangka, Parang and Marikina Heights.
