MANILA - Construction has started on the 27-kilometer Cavite segment of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Wednesday.

The Laguna segment of the CALAX, which spans 18 kilometers, began construction in June 2017.

The P35.4-billion CALAX will connect Cavitex in Kawit, Cavite and end at the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Mamplasan interchange in Biñan, Laguna.
