MANILA -- Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines do not have in their fleet a Boeing jet model that figured in two recent crashes, their spokespersons told ABS-CBN News.

An Ethiopian Air Boeing 737 MAX 8 bound for Kenya crashed on Sunday, killing all 157 on board. The same model aircraft operated by Lion Air crashed shortly after takeoff in Jakarta last October, killing 189.

"We have no Boeing aircraft, and certainly no 737 in the Cebu Pacific fleet," Cebu Pacific spokesperson Charo Logarta said.
