MANILA - Gokongwei-owned Cebu Pacific has unveiled new uniforms for its cabin crew to mark the airline's 20th anniversary.

Cebu Pacific said the new outfit reflects the airline's "transition from a domestic and regional airline to one that flies as far away as Australia, Japan, Micronesia and the Middle East."

The new uniforms were designed by fashion designer Jun Escario.

“The challenge during the redesign was for us to maintain the relaxed, fun element of the brand, but at the same time to have a uniform that elevates the image of our cabin crew--especially since our network now includes flights to some of the busiest long-haul airports of the world," said Candice Alabanza Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s vice president for marketing and distribution, as quoted in Way to Go, Cebu Pacific's online arm of inflight magazine 'Smile.'

The cabin crew's new look features denim skirts and jeans; pullovers; scarves; and fedoras. The uniforms are paired with either a pair of black sneakers or nude-colored pumps.

Cebu Pacific will officially launch the new uniforms on March 27, 2016.

In January 2016, the airline flew more than 1.6 million passengers on domestic and international flights, a 13 percent jump from the number of passengers recorded in the same month in 2015.

The airline flies to over 90 routes on 64 destinations across the world. It is set to launch direct flights between Manila and Guam, its first US destination, on March 15, 2016.
