MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino met with Accenture chairman and chief executive officer Pierre Nanterme at the presidential Palace on Thursday.

During his courtesy call to the President, Nanterme was  accompanied by Accenture chief operating officer Jo Deblaere and Philippines country managing director Manolito Tayag.
 
Accenture officials highlighted the important role of its Philippine operations in its global operations.

Nanterme expressed the company's confidence in the Philippines and the world-class capabilities of Accenture’s workforce in the country. This was his first visit to the Philippines. Nanterme, who has been CEO since January 2011, assumed the additional post of chairman in February 2013.

Accenture Philippines started with only 75 people when it opened in 1985, and now it is the country’s leading management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Accenture Philippines has around 30,000 employees working in 16 facilities in its Manila and Cebu offices.

The Philippines is Accenture’s second biggest delivery node and third largest location in headcount.
