You may have heard about the pop-up courts and jaw-dropping activations staged in different parts of the world as part of Hennessy and NBA’s global ‘Game Never Stops’ campaign.

In Sydney, the two brands turned Bondi Icebergs into a beachside basketball court to kickoff the campaign last year. In London, they built UK’s first floating basketball court on River Thames. In Taiwan, they mounted a unique court in front of the National Chang Kai Shek Memorial Hall located in Zhongzheng District. It featured a giant white basketball bearing the logos of Hennessy and NBA.

Filipinos are among the world’s top NBA followers. Global public opinion and data company, YourGov, says the league has more than 26.2 million Pinoy fans. Since basketball is deeply ingrained in our culture, it’s just right that the Philippines becomes a stop in the Hennessy-NBA campaign. “It’s about time we put the Philippines on the map,” says Rommel Fuentebella, Moët Hennessy’s Marketing Director, South East Asia - Emerging Markets.

Thus Hennessy is unveiling the “Game Never Stops” pop-up court at the 5th Avenue in Fort Bonifacio Global City (BGC) this weekend (October 15-16).

Gio Robles, Moët Hennessy’s Marketing Manager, says a portion between 28th and 30th streets will be closed and a basketball court will be set up in the middle of the street, along with an art exhibition. He says they have commissioned up-and-coming Filipino artists to help visualize the Filipino culture around basketball.

The pop-up court will feature basketball activities which will be attended by athletes, celebrities, Hennessy’s trade partners and Filipino fans. “They are going to have a celebrity three-on-three competition. We have formed six teams and a total of 24 players. But I cannot divulge the names yet,” says Robles.
