More film, TV and social media personalities, including popular creatives from the design and fashion world, showed their support for Pink Day yesterday, the day Vice President Leni Robredo announced she is joining the race for presidency in the 2022 national elections.
Risking being attacked by anti-Leni trolls or losing followers, these personalities expressed their support for the Vice President with their words, fashion, and a whole lot of heart emojis. Yes, it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which happens to share the same color theme with the #LetLeniLead campaign, but yesterday seems to have been devoted to celebrating the VP’s candidacy which many have said sparked renewed hope for the country.
ABS-CBN News had earlier reported on the other celebs who are rallying behind Robredo’s candidacy. Here’s more.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez didn’t name names and just let her pink lips do the talking.
Similarly, there was no mention of VP Leni’s name on the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano’s post. But her pink top seems to spell out her sentiments quite clearly. She captioned her post: “Hello! Maganda ba ko?” with a heart emoji.
No captions. Just pigtails and his fist on his chest for singer Ogie Alcasid.
It’s pretty obvious who Megastar Sharon Cuneta is rooting for with her “Teach. Love. Inspire.” shirt. On Friday, her hubby filed for his candidacy as Vice President in the 2022 national elections with Robredo behind him.

Naiyak ako watching @lenirobredo’s speech because I realized how cynical I’ve become in the past six years and how touching it was to watch an actual frontliner and victim in the Duterte regime still shine with hope and love for this country. #LabanLeni2022
