The new Miss Silka Philippines 2018 queen has been crowned, and taking home the highest distinction is the young Maraiah Queen Arceta from Cebu City.

Miss Silka Philippines is the flagship pageant of Silka, the leading beauty and skincare brand of Cosmetique Asia Corporation.

Since 2008, Miss Silka Philippines has been celebrating diverse Filipina beauty and promoting the values of beauty, wit, and grace. For 2018, its 11th edition, Miss Silka Philippines upped the ante and sought not only the most beautiful across the archipelago, but ladies who possessed the biggest hearts and minds.

Arceta proved to be a star among the other beauties, besting 25 other candidates. She was crowned alongside other winners namely: Roxanne Alison Baeyens from Baguio, First Runner-Up; Shiermay Norte Elnar from Bicolandia, Second Runner-Up; and AJ Morris Garcia of Pampanga, Third Runner-Up.

For her winning answer, Arceta shared how she would use her voice to forward her cause: "If I were a vlogger, I would [speak about] breast cancer awareness since it is my advocacy. I want to educate the people... Breast cancer awareness should be known by [others] because these women have gone through a lot and [they inspire] me so much, because from all the darkness that they’ve experienced, there is still a light in them. And I think that is something that we can learn from them."

As Miss Silka Philippines 2018, Arceta will be donating P100,000 to her chosen charity, and will receive a cash prize of P150,000, one-year supply of Silka products, and skin treatments from Zenaya Aesthetics.

Bringing more glitz and glamor to the event, held at the Activity Center of Market!Market!, last November 30, were hosts R&B prince Jay R and Myx VJ Sunny Kim. The ladies and guests were also serenaded by Iñigo Pascual and Silka ambassador Yassi Pressman.
