Cosmetics brand celebrates 37th year with Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates

Ever Bilena, one of the country's leading cosmetics brands, continues to show its unyielding support to Binibining Pilipinas as it celebrated its 37th anniversary in the local beauty industry.

As the official make-up sponsor of the prominent beauty pageant competition for three consecutive years now, Ever Bilena wanted to guarantee that each lady will look her best from the pre-pageant activities until the coronation night thus, it spearheaded a beauty tour for all of them to enjoy and learn from.

"Basically, the reason for this beauty tour is really for Ever Bilena, as the makeup sponsor, to highlight how we help these beautiful binibinis make themselves more beautiful with our products," Blackwater Brand Manager Ivan Banez said.

On March 3, 2020, 39 out of 40 Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates went to the Ever Bilena headquarters in Caloocan City where they received a warm welcome from the staff and executives including Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc. (EBCI) CEO Dioceldo Sy, EBCI COO Silliman Sy and EBCI Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Denice Sy Muñez.

The ladies underwent an exclusive make-up training session where they were taught an easy-to-do look, simple techniques, and basic skincare tips to ensure that they always look their best throughout their pageant journey.

In the late afternoon, Ever Bilena hosted a casual fashion show to give the candidates an early opportunity to showcase their beauty, personality, and wit. Samantha Mae Bernardo, candidate 13 from Palawan, shone the brightest among all as she bagged the Ms. Ever Bilena crown.

"I feel like for the past three years that I've been joining Binibining Pilipinas—I was the second runner-up of Catriona and second runner-up again of Gazini—I feel like I've been preparing my whole life for this moment and I'm just shocked. [Even if] I don't have the most followers in social media, well in fact, I know that it's part of it, but at least I'm very happy because they've seen my efforts, my beauty, and that I'm a Filipina who can represent Ever Bilena," she said.

Bernardo was followed by Patrizia Garcia from Manila who won Ms. Blackwater, while Hannah Arnold from Masbate and Honey Grace Cartasano from Rizal were named as Ms. Careline and Ms. EB Advance respectively.

These awards were based on the personalities of each Ever Bilena brand that best coincides with the personality of its chosen lady. All four winners will be the new faces and ambassadors of each brand.

"What's special this year is that it coincides with our 37th anniversary in the industry so we're kind of aligning it (the beauty tour) with this one as well," said Olivia Padilla, Ever Bilena Marketing Manager. "That's really special compared to the past two years and I think it's the thought of getting another potential ambassador."

Ever Bilena has strongly stood by its motto that "Every Filipina deserves beauty that lasts a lifetime" by catering to every Filipina and helping enhance their individual beauty with quality and affordable cosmetics.

The Binibining Pilipinas 2020 pageant will be held on April 26, 2020, with 40 ladies competing for five crowns: Bb Pilipinas International, Bb Pilipinas Supranational, Bb Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb Pilipinas Globe, and Bb Pilipinas Grand International.
