President Rodrigo Duterte visited the resting place of his parents at the Davao Public and Roman Catholic Cemetery at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Earlier this year, Duterte was seen weeping at his mother's grave hours after partial vote tallies showed his unassailable lead in the May 9 presidential race.

His father, Vicente, was the last governor of the undivided Davao and was also the Cabinet Secretary for General Services of late strongman Ferdinand Marcos.

Duterte's mother, Soledad, was a teacher involved in the socio-civic projects of her husband.
