Last month, the Department of Science and Technology unveiled the Philippines' first cube satellite dubbed as the "Maya-1" in Japan's Kyushu Institute of Technology or Kyutech.

Maya-1 was assembled by two Filipino scientists, Joven Javier and Adrian Salces, who were sent by the DOST to Kyutech for training.
