Senator Richard Gordon on Thursday was among the top trending topics on Twitter as netizens slammed how he steered Dengvaxia discussions during the joint hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon and Health and Demography committees.

Several netizens complained how the hearing dragged on for nearly 7 hours, with Gordon monopolizing the discussions and cutting off key resource persons including former president Benigno Aquino III, former Budget Secretary Florencio Abad, and former Health Secretary Janette Garin.

The hearing on the alleged "hasty" procurement of Dengvaxia vaccines started at around 10 a.m.. Three and a half hours later, some senators left the hearing as Gordon continued to dominate discussions.

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon echoed online jeers as he deliberately asked Gordon if other senators can ask their own questions.

"I'm the chairman," Gordon told Drilon.

Senator JV Ejercito who co-chaired the hearing did not have his fair share of time during the joint Senate probe.

Meantime, a netizen congratulated resource persons for keeping their composure amid Gordon's "badgering."

Despite his supposed "one-man show," some netizens also appreciated the Gordon's passion during the Dengvaxia probe.
