After scoring 57 points and helping the Cleveland Cavaliers trounce the Washington Wizards 130-122, four-time league MVP LeBron James joined Michael Jordan in the history books.

James is now the second player in NBA history with more than 10 points in 800 consecutive games, the league's analysts said Saturday morning in a Twitter post.

Jordan tapped in an average of more than 10 points in 866 consecutive games, the NBA said. James has also achieved this feat.

James also tied Allen Iverson at sixth place among players with the most number of 50-point games.

LeBron's performance in the Cavaliers' game against Washington on Friday (US time) was the second-best scoring performance of his career.

Aside from scoring 57, he also delivered 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

He got in 23 out of 34 shots, including two three-pointers, and netted 9 of 9 free throws.
